Welcome
Welcome Letter from Principal Drew Larrabee
Dear Parents and Students,
I am thrilled to welcome you back to another exciting school year at Talkeetna Elementary! As I embark on my second year as your principal, I am filled with anticipation for the year ahead.
Last year, we laid a strong foundation for our Timberwolf community, and I am confident that together, we will build upon that success. Our school is a special place where students feel valued, supported, and challenged to reach their full potential.
I am eager to reconnect with familiar faces and meet new members of our school family. We have a dedicated and passionate staff who are committed to providing an exceptional learning environment. Together, we will create a year filled with growth, discovery, and fun.
I encourage you to stay involved in your child's education by attending parent-teacher conferences, volunteering in the classroom, and supporting school events. Your partnership is essential to our shared success.
I look forward to a fantastic year filled with learning, laughter, and community spirit.
Sincerely,
Drew Larrabee Principal Talkeetna Elementary School

School Lunches
Why should I apply for Free & Reduced Meals?
Families who apply and are approved for free or reduced-price meals pay zero or reduced prices for breakfast and lunch at school. In addition, Talkeetna Elementary is a Title 1 funded school, and we receive federal funds to help support our students. Please complete the Free and Reduced Meals Application in order to help us ensure we continue to qualify for these essential federal dollars. Even if your child/ren do not typically eat school lunch or you feel you may not qualify, we request that you please complete this form.
This year, our Title 1 funds are used to provide student classroom support, library staff which facilitates the access and organization of the school library, and supplemental student materials.
Thank you for completing this form. We appreciate the support. You will need your student’s ID number in order to apply online. You can look up your student’s ID through your ParentVUE account or by calling the school at (907)733-9400.
